"The Book of Ballads" (Tor). Beginning in 1995, I self-published four comics based on Scottish and English ballads. These illustrated adaptations were scripted by a host of very talented writers including Charles de Lint, Sharyn McCrumb, Neil Gaiman, Lee Smith, and Jane Yolen. Now they have been collected and bound in a hardback volume by Tor, with 50 pages of additional story material by myself, an extensive introduction by Terri Windling, and a detailed discography by Ken Roseman. It will be released on Nov. 1, 2004.
